Eduardo Jorge Pereira Barrento was born in 1968 in Torres Novas, Ribatejo, Portugal. He grow up in Vilar dos Prazeres, near Ourém, where he had his first contacts with wild animals: snakes and lizards - very common at those days.
Just before he can read or write, he begin to make drawings and paintings, and of course, his favourite subject matter were animals!
Some years later, in the Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa (School of Arts) he discovers his new passion: Photography.
Since then, the last 15 years, he's recording the nature of Portugal, specially wildlife. At the same time, he continues to show his work as an artist in galleries, where the subject matter is still the nature, but worked out in a different manner. He also worked for sports newspapers.
These days he is doing environmental education at ADEPA, in Alcobaça and build websites like this one.
